Trentino
Denominazione di origine protetta
GRAPE VARIETY
Nosiola is one of the oldest autochthone grapes in Trentino. Its name is due to the colour of the skin when the grapes are ripe: they assume a colour similar to nocciola, hazelnut.

PRODUCTION AREA
The grapes are grown in the area recognised as classic for the production of typical Trentino quality wines. Nosiola is cultivated only in Trentino, in small parcels with an alluvial soil and with a temperate microclimate, at the altitude of 250 – 350 a.s.l.

WINEMAKING
The wine’s notoriety derives from its very individual perfume in which aromatic nuances play an important role; they develop during fermentation in combination with special yeast strains. Typical white wine making technology is employed: the grapes are de-stemmed, softly pressed and the juice undergoes the fermentation under temperature control, avoiding the malolactic fermentation, which would damage the aromatic richness.

DESCRIPTION
Straw yellow in colour, on the nose the typical hazelnut note, which follows through on the palate. Crispy and spicy with a light bitter note on the finish.
